Those are the words Paul heard in his night vision of the "man of Macedonia" as recorded in Acts 16:9-10. The appeal was urgent and ongoing. The angelic messenger was literally saying: "I am begging you, please come running to us in our urgent need!"
That is what we consistently hear from pastors and church leaders in Africa, like Pastor William pictured here with me. They long to be encouraged and better equipped for their ministry of teaching and preaching God's Word.
Rwanda, the "Land of the Thousand Hills," is one of those countries that is urgently requesting our help in training their pastors and church leaders. This month, I will once again have the privilege of "going over and helping them" (June 16-28). As you may recall, I visited Rwanda last September as we initiated our ministry in this country. This year, however, I will not only teach the three-day Thompson Bible seminar, but will also have the joy of investing in four key pastoral leaders (including Pastor William) in view of better equipping them to teach others (2 Timothy 2:2).
