The Ezra Factor in Kenya

I recently returned from Nairobi, Kenya where I had the privilege of ministering to pastors and church leaders eager to better study and preach God's Word. I reminded them of the example of Ezra, who "set his heart to study the Law of the Lord, and to do it and to teach his statutes and rules in Israel" (Ezra 7:10).

Our Kenyan trainer, Pastor Chege Waweru, did an excellent job of teaching the second seminar. I then had the joy of certifying him as an approved teacher with African Pastoral Ministries. This dear brother is not only a seasoned communicator, but also an experienced administrator who kept us all on schedule!

I'm also thankful that two friends from First Evangelical Church in Memphis, Tennessee were able to see firsthand the impact of this training. Corky White (Missions Pastor) and Justin Hensley spent nearly three days observing the teaching and interacting with the participants. They also shared a word of testimony with a local church before leaving to visit other missionaries in nearby Uganda. Thank you First Evan for sending these ambassadors of encouragement!

After two seminars and six days of training, these pastors and church leaders left following the example of Ezra, better equipped to study, obey and teach God's Word. Thank you for standing with us in this ministry. Your prayer support and financial gifts contribute to the strengthening of Christ's church in Africa!
